Martin Luther: Daily Bread

One of the best singers/guitarists/songwriters around, Martin Luther (aka Martin Luther McCoy Jr.) has a new album coming out this summer entitled 'Love Is The Hero'.  His last studio album came out in 2004, the excellent 'Rebel Soul Music'. A live album was released in 2006: 'Live at Arlene's Grocery'.

If he looks familiar to you: Martin Luther played guitarist/singer Jo-Jo in Julie Taymor's 2007 film Across the Universe.

This video from 2005 features The Roots and Nona Gaye.

BOOM CLAP BACHELORS: a collective of producers, live musicians and DJs out of Copenhagen, Denmark. The collective was founded in 2005 with the release of the self-titled vinyl album Boom Clap Bachelors. It provided the outlet for future collaboration. The music spans from electronica, disco non disco to leftfield, new wave, soul and indie influcences. The music is often subtle, understated, whispering vocals over crisp to lush instruments, off kilter drum programming, melancholy, uplifting, playful, dreamy.

Lisa Shaw: Tomorrow

One of the finest voices around. This track sounds like vintage Sade.
